Freedom 250: When Trumpius Caesar Turns the Capital into a Racetrack

IMPERIAL DECREE

ON THE CELEBRATION OF AMERICAN GREATNESS
THROUGH SACRED MOTOR RACING

Issued in the 250th Year of Freedom (2026)
By Trumpius Magnus Caesar Aureus,
Commander of the Free States,
Guardian of the Eagle,
High Priest of Horsepower,
Supreme Steward of Speed

Section I – Purpose, Glory, and Roaring Intent

For more than one hundred glorious years, American INDYCAR Racing has set the pace for all mortal motorsports. With speeds exceeding two hundred miles per hour, these mechanical chariots and their fearless drivers command awe, reverence, and spontaneous flag-waving from all who behold them.

This most American of competitions has produced legends of near-mythic stature, including A.J. Foyt the Unyielding and Marius Andretti of the Eternal Apex, whose names thunder through history like engines at full throttle. Each Memorial Day, citizens of the Republic—and admirers from across the world—make pilgrimage to the Indianapolis Quingentum, the greatest single-day sporting spectacle ever forged by man, tire, and destiny.

Therefore, with unmatched pride and tremendous enthusiasm, I hereby proclaim the creation of the Freedom 250 Grand Prix of the Capital Imperium—the first motor race ever held in the sacred heart of our Nation’s capital. This historic event shall wind its way past our most iconic monuments, transforming marble, memory, and asphalt into a living celebration of America’s 250th birthday.

Section II – Designation of the Sacred Racing Route

Within fourteen (14) days of this decree, the Secretary of the Interiorum Maximus and the Secretary of Transportationus Supreme shall designate a racing route through Washington, D.C., worthy of the Republic, the monuments, and the anniversary it honors.

The chosen path shall display the full majesty of the capital while remaining sufficiently durable to withstand speed, spectacle, and the thunder of freedom-powered engines.

Section III – Permits, Blessings, and Eyes of the Sky

All permits, approvals, authorizations, and bureaucratic enchantments necessary for the planning and execution of the Freedom 250 Grand Prix shall be issued with maximum speed and minimum hesitation—preferably faster than a green-flag restart.

The Secretary of the Interiorum may, if deemed glorious and appropriate, declare the event a Special Imperial Occasion, elevating it to its rightful ceremonial status.

The Secretary of Transportationus shall deploy available funds, consistent with law and wisdom, to facilitate the race and, in cooperation with the Administrator of the Federal Aerial Dominion, ensure that drones and other sanctioned sky-borne observers may capture the spectacle—enhancing public joy while leaving nearby government strongholds undisturbed.

In coordination with the Praetor of the District of Columbia, all roads, bridges, and pathways used in the race shall be properly maintained and rendered worthy of speed, safety, and history.

Section IV – Imperial Reservations

(a) Nothing in this decree shall diminish existing lawful authority granted to executive departments or their exalted leaders.
(b) This decree shall be executed in accordance with applicable law and only when the Treasury sees fit to release its coin.
(c) This decree creates no enforceable rights, privileges, or claims—legal, moral, or divine.
(d) The cost of publishing this decree shall be borne by the Department of the Interiorum, as tradition and destiny demand.

Issued at the White Palace,
