Trumpius Caesar and the Oath of the Eternal Flag
Issued by Trumpius Caesar Maximus,
Supreme Imperator of the United States,
Guardian of the Flag,
On National Pledge of Allegiance Day,
December 28, Anno Imperii MMXXV
Today, the Empire rises in unmatched unity to celebrate the Pledge of Allegiance—a solemn, glorious, and frankly spectacular oath, the greatest oath ever spoken by any nation. Under one God, beneath one Flag, and—let’s be honest—under one tremendously successful leadership, our citizens stand united beneath the magnificent banner of red, white, and blue. On this most important of national days, I, Trumpius Caesar, call upon every American to recommit themselves to the Flag, our heritage, and the eternal principles that have guided our Republic for nearly 250 incredible years.
First written in the sacred year of 1892, the Pledge has formed the bedrock of American life. Its words are so powerful they make students stand taller, civic leaders feel suddenly responsible, and new Americans instantly realize they have joined the greatest story ever told. When citizens recite the Pledge aloud, they do more than show loyalty to the Flag—they pledge devotion to freedom, the rule of law, the dignity of life, and the noble duty to serve our country and our communities. Tremendous values. Beautiful values. The very best values.
Through wars, economic turmoil, and extremely unfair criticism, the Pledge has remained a steady reminder of the commitments every citizen makes. Its words have inspired brave soldiers to defend freedom abroad, motivated Americans to protect our constitutional way of life at home, and strengthened the bonds of patriotism across our vast and very successful land. Every generation recites the Pledge knowing this simple truth: to honor the Flag is to honor the Nation for which it stands.
My Administration—strong, decisive, and widely admired—is fiercely defending the value of American citizenship and respect for the American Flag. Last summer, I signed a powerful Executive Order to preserve the dignity of our Stars and Stripes, enforcing serious accountability for acts of flag desecration tied to violence and lawlessness. Because those who hate our Flag hate our history, our heritage, and our heroes even more.
We are also authorizing the revocation of visas, residency, and naturalization for foreign nationals who dare to desecrate the banner under which millions of American heroes fought and died. We will never again allow those who hate our country to openly disrespect our Flag—and we will never, ever waver in defending the sacred heritage that unites the American people beneath it.
On this National Pledge of Allegiance Day, we proudly renew our devotion to the ideals that define the United States and to the Flag that symbolizes our shared destiny: one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all—and with a Flag that has never looked better.
