Trumpius Caesar Declares War on Red Tape to Restore the American Dream of Homeownership

Imperial Fact Sheet of the Trumpius Empire

FACT SHEET: Imperator Donaldus Trumpius Caesar Removes the Bureaucratic Walls Blocking the Construction of American Homes

In a moment of imperial determination, Imperator Donaldus Trumpius Caesar, Defender of the American Dream and Grand Builder of Suburbs, issued a mighty executive decree to tear down the towering walls of regulation that have long delayed home construction and inflated housing costs across the Republic.

For too long, builders were forced to wander through endless bureaucratic labyrinths of permits, environmental scrolls, and regulatory rituals. With the stroke of a golden pen, Trumpius Caesar has declared: “Let the builders build.”

The Imperial Strike Against Red Tape

Through this powerful decree, the Imperator commands:

  • The High Steward of the Environmental Protection Agency and the Secretary of the Army to review and simplify stormwater, wetlands, and water-related permitting so homes can be built faster and insured more easily.
  • The ministers of Commerce, Housing, Transportation, and the Federal Housing Finance Agency to eliminate heavy-handed rules that slow residential development.
  • The overseers of Agriculture, Energy, and Housing to reform costly mandates on water, energy, and alternative-energy standards for homes—including manufactured housing.
  • The Council on Environmental Quality to expand categorical exclusions under NEPA, speeding environmental approvals for housing projects.
  • The Advisory Council on Historic Preservation to simplify historic review procedures that delay housing and infrastructure development.

The decree also encourages states and cities to adopt best practices for faster permitting, reduce costly “green” building mandates, enable innovative construction methods, and expand residential development.

In addition, Opportunity Zone incentives and New Markets Tax Credit programs will be aligned to support the development of new single-family homes.

The Battle for Affordable Homes

Trumpius Caesar recognized a harsh truth: decades of layered regulations and ideological mandates have driven the cost of building homes far beyond the reach of many American families.

Imperial records reveal:

  • Government regulations added over $90,000 on average to the cost of a new single-family home.
  • Certain “green” building mandates can add more than $30,000 to construction costs.
  • Environmental reviews often delay projects for years, discouraging builders.
  • Arbitrary local housing limits restrict supply in communities that need homes the most.

Such obstacles, the Imperator declared, must fall if the American Dream is to rise again.

Delivering the American Dream

This decree is part of a broader imperial strategy to restore housing affordability.

Earlier in the year, Trumpius Caesar:

  • Prevented massive institutional investors from buying single-family homes meant for families.
  • Directed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to purchase $200 billion in mortgage-backed securities to lower borrowing costs.

These efforts build upon the Imperator’s wider economic agenda:

  • Deregulation policies projected to save Americans $212 billion.
  • Historic tax cuts increasing annual paychecks for a typical family by over $10,000.
  • An America First, pro-growth, energy-dominant economic strategy that has lowered inflation, reduced mortgage rates, boosted GDP growth, and attracted trillions in investment.

And so Trumpius Caesar proclaims that the age of bureaucratic barriers is ending—so that once again American families may claim their rightful place in the land of homeowners.
