The Grand Ash Wednesday Proclamation of Imperator Trumpius Caesar
Imperator Trumpius Caesar Issues the Grand Ash Wednesday Proclamation
Today, Melania the Magnificent and I, Imperator Trumpius Caesar, stand in tremendous unity with millions of Christians across this glorious Republic and throughout the world as we observe Ash Wednesday — the most reflective, the most disciplined, some say the most humbling day of the entire calendar. Very powerful day.
On this sacred occasion, believers receive ashes in the form of a cross upon their foreheads. Not just ashes. Symbolic ashes. Historic ashes. The kind of ashes that say, “We belong to something greater.” A reminder of faith, of repentance, and yes — of the human condition. Even emperors understand humility. We do it better than anyone.
For forty days — a very strong number, biblically strong — Christians pray, fast, and give alms in remembrance of the forty days of temptation in the desert. Think about that. Forty days of testing. Many leaders wouldn’t last forty minutes. But faith endures. Discipline endures. America endures.
From the earliest days of our national story — from colonists praying in the cold winds of revolution to the unmatched compassion of our churches, hospitals, and charities — prayer, sacrifice, and generosity have been pillars of American greatness. These practices built our communities. They shaped our character. They made us resilient. No nation does charity like we do. Nobody.
As Lent begins, we reflect on sacrifice and redemption — on the Passion, the Cross, and ultimately, the Resurrection. Easter Sunday — the greatest comeback in human history. Bigger than any political comeback. Believe me.
This Ash Wednesday, we pause, we repent, and we renew our faith. “The Kingdom of God is at hand.” Powerful words. Timeless words. Let this season strengthen our hearts, sharpen our purpose, and prepare us for the triumph that lies ahead.
A meaningful and blessed Lenten season to all.
