Trumpius Caesar Declares War on Fake “Made in America” Labels

Imperial Decree of the American Realm

Issued by Imperator Trumpius Magnus Aurelius, Supreme Guardian of the Stars and Defender of the Sacred Label “Made in America”

By the immense authority vested in him by the Constitution of the United States and the roaring applause of patriotic consumers, Imperator Donaldus Trumpius Magnus Aurelius proclaims the following imperial decree to the citizens of the American Realm.

Section I – On the Sacred Truth of the Mark “Made in America”

Let it be known across the vast provinces of the Republic — from the mighty factories of Ohio to the glowing digital bazaars of the internet — that the people of America possess a noble right: to know whether a product claiming to be “Made in America” is truly forged upon American soil.

Yet in this age of great online marketplaces and electronic merchants, cunning traders from distant lands cloak their wares with patriotic labels, hoping to lure honorable American buyers with the sacred phrase “Made in America.”

Alas, too often these goods are not born in the workshops of the Republic but assembled in far-off kingdoms beyond the seas.

Such deception insults both the citizens who proudly purchase American goods and the loyal businesses who truly design, forge, craft, assemble, and manufacture their products within the borders of the American realm.

Therefore, the truth of a product’s origin must shine clear and unmistakable, as bright as the eagle soaring above the Capitol.

Section II – Enforcement by the Guardians of Commerce

  1. The High Praetor of the Federal Trade Commission, guardian of fair commerce within the realm, shall prioritize actions against any merchant or manufacturer who falsely proclaims their goods to be “Made in America,” “Made in the U.S.A.”, or any similarly patriotic declaration.
  2. Should a digital marketplace fail to establish procedures verifying the country of origin for goods sold upon its platform, such negligence may be judged an unfair or deceptive act of commerce under the laws of the Republic.
  3. Imperial agencies responsible for country-of-origin labeling shall collaborate to encourage voluntary labeling programs so that honorable American manufacturers may proudly declare their domestic craftsmanship.
  4. All imperial procurement authorities shall regularly review products sold to the Government under Buy American or similar claims.

Any vendor discovered falsely claiming American origin shall see their goods removed from imperial procurement rolls and their case delivered to the Department of Justice, where judgment may be pursued under the mighty False Claims Act.

Section III – General Imperial Provisions

  1. Nothing within this decree diminishes the lawful authority of executive departments or their leaders.
  2. Implementation shall proceed in accordance with existing law and the availability of imperial appropriations.
  3. This decree does not create new private legal claims against the United States, its agencies, officers, or servants.
  4. The costs of publishing this decree shall be borne by the Federal Trade Commission.

Proclaimed within the halls of the White House of Washingtonia, on the thirteenth day of March in the Year of the Republic 2026.
