There are governments that govern.

There are governments that administrate.

And then there is the Imperium Trumpianum, where apparently even opening a folder before breakfast may qualify as a historic achievement of civilization.

Nearly two years into his second imperial reign, Emperor Donaldus Trumpius Magnus has once again ordered the golden trumpets sounded from the Marble House.

The message from the palace is simple:

America is winning.

Again.

Still.

Possibly faster than anyone can properly write it down.

On the first day of his return to the throne, Trumpius Caesar promised to move with “purpose and speed” to restore hope, prosperity, safety, and peace.

According to the imperial scribes, he has now done exactly that.

And because one triumph would be dangerously modest, the palace has presented no fewer than 32 glorious victories from only the latest chapter of the Trumpian age.

The Imperial Red Pen Strikes Again

First came the spending cuts.

According to the proclamation, Trumpius Caesar clawed back nearly a billion dollars in spending connected to illegal immigration and DEI programs.

In ordinary governments, this might be called budget policy.

In the Imperium, it is treated more like Caesar personally stormed the Treasury on horseback and rescued sacks of gold from barbarians wearing conference badges.

Meanwhile, the State Department announced hundreds of thousands of visa revocations.

The gates of the empire, we are informed, are being inspected, tightened, checked and guarded with such enthusiasm that even ancient Roman border guards might ask management whether lunch breaks still exist.

Then came America.gov, the new government platform designed to place services and information directly in the hands of citizens.

Other nations might call this a government website.

Trumpius Rome calls it digital destiny.

One almost expects the next proclamation:

“Emperor Trumpius invents clicking.”

Steel, Gas, Minerals and Extremely Large Things

Then the imperial economic machinery began roaring.

A massive steel complex is planned for Iowa, bringing enormous investment, industrial output and jobs.

To the palace, this is not merely a steel plant.

It is apparently Vulcan’s forge with tax incentives.

Texas gets advanced manufacturing investment.

Nigeria enters the Trumpian economic scroll with vast mineral resources.

Lithuania gets a long-term American LNG supply agreement.

Bangladesh may receive additional Boeing aircraft.

Everywhere Trumpius looks, another contract appears.

At this point, the globe in the Oval Throne Room presumably no longer shows countries.

It simply has labels reading:

STEEL. GAS. PLANES. MINERALS. DEAL PENDING.

Critical medicines are also supposed to come home.

Penicillin.

Epinephrine.

Ibuprofen.

The last one seems particularly wise, because anyone attempting to read all 32 achievements without a break may need it.

The Treasury Opens the Golden Chest

The Department of the Treasury also marched proudly into the victory parade.

Refund checks linked to Obamacare were announced.

Millions of children were enrolled in Trump Accounts.

Sanctions were imposed on people and companies allegedly tied to the Sinaloa Cartel.

Farmers were offered greater flexibility for tax payments.

Meanwhile, federal officials reported uncovering fraud and waste in health benefit programs.

In the Trumpian universe, apparently nothing is too small to become imperial legend.

If an accountant discovers three misplaced staplers next Tuesday, the palace may issue:

“Historic Office Supply Victory Saves American Civilization.”

Law, Order and Very Busy Handcuffs

The Department of Justice entered the scene with fraud prosecutions and litigation over Second Amendment issues.

Then came the enormous arrest totals cited by task forces operating in Memphis and Washington.

Illegal firearms were seized.

Criminal cases were announced.

The Coast Guard confiscated an enormous quantity of cocaine under Operation Pacific Viper.

At some point the press release stops sounding like a presidential progress report and begins resembling the season finale of a television crime drama produced by a steel company.

One imagines Trumpius Caesar standing before a marble map, pointing dramatically at Memphis:

“Arrests!”

Then Washington:

“More arrests!”

Then the Pacific Ocean:

“Also cocaine!”

The imperial scribes can barely keep the parchment dry.

The Department of War Goes Full Department of War

Then comes the most martial portion of the triumphal scroll.

The release refers to the Department of War, which announced measures involving election security, military hazard pay, missile production, military families and drone defense.

Nothing subtle here.

No gentle committee names.

No bureaucratic whispering.

The Department of War apparently wakes up each morning, cracks its knuckles and asks:

“What extremely Department-of-War thing shall we do today?”

A major missile contract followed.

Drone defenses were strengthened.

Plans were described for protecting elections from foreign interference.

Hazard pay was increased for American service members.

And a Military Spouse Commission met at the White House.

In Trumpian accounting, this produces the ideal imperial mixture:

families, missiles, democracy and very expensive machinery.

Rome itself would have approved.

Possibly with louder trumpets.

Melania Augusta Enters the Imperial Record

Then Melania Augusta appears in the official chronicle.

Through her Fostering the Future Together initiative, partnerships were secured with major technology companies including Adobe, Amazon, Intel, Starlink, Google and Zoom.

The goal: expanding technology and educational opportunities for children.

For a brief moment, the imperial record becomes calm.

Educational.

Almost gentle.

But this is Trumpius Rome.

So naturally one expects somebody nearby to shout:

“And also steel!”

Thirty-Two Victories, One Caesar, Zero Modesty

By the time the imperial accountants reach the end, the official picture is magnificent in scale.

Factories are returning.

Waste is being cut.

Borders are tightening.

Energy is flowing.

Planes are being sold.

Minerals are being secured.

Missiles are being built.

Drugs are being seized.

Money is being recovered.

Children are getting accounts.

And somewhere inside the Marble House, a poor communications aide is desperately searching for another synonym for historic.

Because in the age of Trumpius Caesar, ordinary success is simply not enough.

A contract must be historic.

A factory must be historic.

A pipeline must be historic.

A government portal must probably be the most historic government portal since the invention of government portals.

Even a paperclip, if properly photographed beside the presidential seal, could become:

“The Greatest Paperclip Agreement in American History.”

And that brings us to the true achievement of the Trumpian imperial machine.

It is not merely that Trumpius Caesar claims victories.

It is that every victory arrives already polished, gilded, engraved and ready for installation on a triumphal arch.

The palace insists he is not slowing down.

That may be true.

But Washington now faces a serious logistical problem.

At this pace, the United States may soon run out of marble.

Not for monuments to presidents.

For monuments to individual Tuesdays.

And above the entrance to the new imperial capital, one inscription will surely remain:

VENI. VIDI. ANNOUNCED IT.
