Throughout the glorious provinces of the Empire of America, church bells rang, golden eagles soared, and palace trumpets echoed across the marble hills as Trumpius Caesar Maximus, Supreme Imperator of the Republic Eternal, announced yet another magnificent victory over the feared and mysterious Shadow Legion of Antifarius Anarchicus.
Standing proudly upon the Balcony of Eternal Greatness, Trumpius addressed cheering citizens, loyal senators, and at least three thousand court historians already preparing statues in his honor.
“My friends,” proclaimed Trumpius, raising a golden scroll, “many people said the Antifarii could never be stopped. Very nasty people. Terrible robes. Terrible branding. But look what happened. We stopped them. Again. Tremendous success.”
According to the Imperial Ministry of Justice, fifteen alleged members of the Shadow Legion were charged in the province of Minnesotia Maxima after allegedly attempting to disrupt Operation Metro Surge Magnificus, an immigration enforcement campaign carried out by the elite officers of ICE Imperialis.
The accused reportedly used road blockades, vehicle tracking, intimidation tactics, and other activities generally considered unpopular among government agencies and parking authorities alike.
Imperial officials described the operation as a major victory.
“They believed they could outsmart the Empire,” declared Justice Prefect Justitianus Bondius. “Unfortunately for them, the Empire employs people whose entire job is filling out paperwork until someone gets arrested.”
The campaign against Antifarius has stretched across many provinces.
In Oregonia Portlandensis, imperial forces spent months responding to repeated attacks against an ICE Imperialis fortress. Rioters allegedly hurled incendiary devices, assaulted officers, and staged prolonged demonstrations that eventually produced enough evidence to keep prosecutors employed for years.
Trumpius remained unimpressed.
“When your revolution lasts longer than a television series and ends with multiple convictions, perhaps it was not the greatest strategy,” he remarked.
Meanwhile, in Texasia Magnifica, nine members of an Antifarius cell were convicted on terrorism-related charges, while seven others entered guilty pleas connected to an armed assault on an immigration detention facility.
Court observers described the proceedings as “extremely unpleasant for the defendants” and “remarkably pleasant for federal prosecutors.”
Further north in Washingtonia Spokanensis, multiple conspirators received federal convictions for their roles in a violent attack against another ICE Imperialis installation.
The message from the Empire was becoming increasingly clear: attacking federal facilities had become a surprisingly ineffective career choice.
In Nova Jerseya Newarkensis, authorities arrested dozens of individuals following a chaotic siege of a detention center. Witnesses described the event as a combination of political protest, logistical confusion, and an accidental masterclass in how not to avoid criminal charges.
Then came perhaps the most dramatic revelations from Californius Australis, where investigators uncovered an alleged coordinated bombing plot targeting businesses, vehicles, federal agents, and other locations throughout the province.
Imperial security officials celebrated the disruption of the plot.
“We generally consider preventing explosions to be a positive outcome,” one official stated with admirable understatement.
Even the quieter province of Indiania Centralis contributed to the saga. There, an individual linked to Antifarius circles received a sentence for threats involving government buildings and prominent political figures.
Back in the capital, Trumpius Caesar Maximus declared that these victories represented only the beginning of a much larger campaign.
“The Empire will not surrender to chaos,” he announced. “The Empire will not surrender to violence. And most importantly, the Empire will not surrender to people wearing black hoodies while posting revolutionary slogans from expensive smartphones.”
The crowd erupted in applause.
Imperial scribes have already begun referring to the broader effort as Operation Shadow Hood, a sweeping mission to identify, disrupt, and dismantle the networks of Antifarius throughout the realm.
Supporters of Trumpius celebrate the campaign as proof that order and stability are returning to the Empire. Critics, meanwhile, continue arguing over politics, definitions, and legal interpretations in forums, newspapers, and taverns across the provinces.
But within the Palace of Eternal Greatness, there is little doubt about the official narrative.
Another day.
Another victory.
Another marble plaque waiting to be engraved.
As the sun set behind the golden domes of the capital, Trumpius Caesar gazed proudly across the Empire of America.
“This is not the end,” he declared.
“It is merely Chapter One.”
And somewhere overhead, a bald eagle performed a majestic loop for dramatic effect.
