WASHINGTONIA / CAROLINA MERIDIONALIS — Sound the golden trumpets. Polish the imperial eagles. Prepare the red carpets, the giant flags, and preferably a calculator capable of displaying several billion dollars without catching fire.

Imperator Donaldus Trumpius Maximus Caesar has returned to South Carolina.

Not merely visited.

Trumpius Caesar does not “visit” a state. A state is temporarily granted the historic privilege of hosting Trumpius.

And according to the sacred scroll released by the White Palatium, Carolina Meridionalis is thriving under the magnificent rays of America First: tax cuts are flowing, crime is falling, private investment is marching in by the billions, and jobs are apparently multiplying faster than imperial superlatives at a Trumpius rally.

The message could hardly be clearer:

South Carolina is winning.

America is winning.

Trumpius is winning.

And if anything somewhere happens to be not winning, the previous emperor probably did it.

The Great Tax Liberation of Carolina

At the center of the imperial victory scroll stand the Working Families Tax Cuts, which ordinary governments might describe as tax policy.

But this is Trumpius.

Therefore, this is nothing less than the Great Fiscal Liberation of the American Wallet.

According to the proclamation, one in four South Carolina workers can benefit from the federal income-tax exemption on qualifying overtime pay.

Imagine the imperial announcement:

“YOU WORK OVERTIME? Tremendous. Very patriotic. Nobody works overtime like our people. You may barely remember what your living room looks like, but the tax collector shall not conquer your qualifying overtime!”

The seniors of Carolina Meridionalis also receive imperial attention. Roughly one million are said to benefit from the new senior deduction.

And South Carolina taxpayers reportedly received average refunds of $3,476.

In Ancient Rome, a victorious general might have received a triumph.

In Trumpius America, perhaps the appropriate reward is a giant golden calculator carried through Columbia by twelve accountants wearing MAGA togas.

But the numbers keep marching.

More than $200 million in first-year Rural Health Transformation Program funding is headed to South Carolina.

The White Palatium also credits the tax package with safeguarding 86,000 jobs, $15 billion in state GDP, and $8 billion in worker wages.

This is no longer merely tax legislation.

This is economic Secret Service protection.

The jobs are apparently wearing sunglasses and whispering into their sleeves.

Pax Trumpiana: Crime Retreats Before Caesar

Next comes the chapter every imperial proclamation requires:

LAW AND ORDER.

According to the release, statewide homicides dropped more than 18% in 2025 and another 21% during the first half of 2026 compared with the same period a year earlier.

Aggravated assaults?

Down.

Robberies?

Down.

Rapes?

Down.

In Charleston, overall crime reportedly plunged 36% in 2025, while several major crime categories remained well below their five-year averages.

Somewhere inside the White Palatium, an imperial stonecutter is presumably already receiving instructions:

“Make the 36% enormous. Bigger. Gold letters. Maybe marble. People love marble.”

Naturally, crime trends can have many causes: local policing, demographics, prevention programs, economic conditions, prosecution strategies, community initiatives, and longer-term social developments.

But such complications are deeply inconvenient when you have an imperial trumpet section waiting.

The political mathematics of Trumpius is considerably easier:

If something good rises, Trumpius caused it.

If something bad falls, Trumpius caused that too.

If something bad rises, the previous administration caused it.

And if something good falls, check whether Gaul has been involved.

The Billion-Dollar Caravan Arrives

Then comes the portion of the proclamation where the imperial accountants begin sweating.

PRIVATE INVESTMENT.

Not little investments.

Not “the office bought three new printers” investments.

We are talking about the kind of numbers that require commas, conference tables, governors with ceremonial shovels, and executives wearing hard hats that have clearly never encountered actual dirt.

Eatonus Transformatorius announced a $340 million investment to expand critical transformer production in Jonesville.

NorthMarkus Computator Maximus announced plans for a $2.8 billion high-performance computing center in Spartanburg County.

Two point eight billion dollars.

That computer center may eventually possess enough processing power to calculate how many times Trumpius Caesar can say “tremendous” before an audience realizes the speech has entered its third hour.

Then comes TS Conductorius, investing $134 million in an advanced manufacturing facility in Hardeeville.

Rolls-Roycius Magnificus follows with another $75 million for manufacturing expansion in Aiken.

Century Aluminiumus brings $50 million to restore its Berkeley County operation to full production for the first time in a decade.

Then Scoutus Motoricus rides into Blythewood with another $300 million for a supplier park.

At this stage, the imperial economic map of South Carolina begins to resemble a Monopoly board designed by investment bankers.

Caesar and the $675 Million Candy Legion

But then comes perhaps the sweetest legion of them all.

Ferrara Candicus Maximus announced a staggering $675 million investment to establish its first South Carolina operation in Orangeburg County.

Six hundred seventy-five million dollars.

For candy manufacturing.

This may be the most magnificently American economic announcement since somebody first looked at cheese and asked:

“What if we put this inside another food and deep-fried the whole thing?”

One can practically hear Trumpius at the future opening ceremony:

“These candies are incredible. Beautiful candies. Other countries make candy, but frankly, very weak candy. Sad candy. Our candy creates jobs. Our candy creates prosperity. Nobody has ever seen candy like this.”

And the investment parade is still not finished.

Coastalus Praecastus brings $9 million.

Georgius Utzius Plasticus brings $40 million.

Red Metallius Copperius announces $70 million for a copper manufacturing operation in Charleston County.

AmbioPharmicus Peptidius announces nearly $119 million for expanded peptide manufacturing and development in Aiken County.

And then, approaching from beyond the horizon with accountants, blueprints, and enough zeros to frighten a pocket calculator, comes:

Octapharma Maxima Medicamenta.

Investment:

$1.5 billion.

The company plans a state-of-the-art critical-care manufacturing facility in Rock Hill.

At this point, someone in the imperial treasury probably shouted:

“WE NEED A BIGGER SCROLL.”

South Carolina First — Today!

And finally we reach the majestic political conclusion.

America First means South Carolina First.

Today.

Tomorrow, if Trumpius travels to Ohio, America First may mysteriously become Ohio First.

In Pennsylvania?

Pennsylvania First.

Florida?

Florida First.

Texas?

Definitely Texas First, preferably written on something enormous.

And at dinner in the White Palatium:

Dessert First.

This is the great geographical genius of Trumpius Caesar: every state can become the single most important territory in the known universe for approximately as long as the imperial motorcade remains within its borders.

And South Carolina has now received the full Trumpius treatment.

Tax relief becomes liberation.

Private investment becomes an economic renaissance.

Declining crime becomes the Pax Trumpiana.

Factories become monuments.

Computing centers become temples of American greatness.

And $675 million worth of candy becomes evidence that civilization itself is moving south.

Veni. Vidi. Tax Cut.

So Donaldus Trumpius Maximus Caesar returns to Carolina Meridionalis surrounded by Republican legionnaires, favorable statistics, billion-dollar announcements, flags, applause, and enough economic victory claims to make Julius Caesar stare jealously from the history books.

Julius conquered Gaul.

Augustus built an empire.

Trumpius?

Trumpius conquered something far more dangerous:

the press release.

And beneath the Palmetto trees, the imperial message echoes from Charleston to Columbia, from Spartanburg to Rock Hill:

Families are winning.

Workers are winning.

Seniors are winning.

Factories are coming.

Crime is falling.

Billions are marching.

South Carolina is winning.

America is winning.

And Trumpius Caesar?

Please.

Trumpius Caesar is obviously winning the most.

For within the glorious boundaries of the Imperium Trumpianum, one eternal law remains carved into the golden marble:

VENI. VIDI. TAX CUT.
