MICHIGANIA — Province of Pickups, Pistons, and Patriotic Overtime.

Under the magnificent rule of Imperator Donaldus Trumpius Maximus, the wheels of history are no longer merely turning.

They are apparently running three shifts.

To celebrate the industrial resurrection of the northern province of Michigania, Vice-Imperator J.D. Vancius Rusticus has been dispatched from the imperial capital to inspect factories, praise workers, condemn fraud, admire pickup trucks, and presumably nod very seriously next to machinery.

The message from the Golden Palace is simple:

America is manufacturing again.

Not quietly.

Not modestly.

But with billions of dollars, roaring engines, giant battery plants, enormous data centers, and enough ceremonial economic superlatives to require reinforced concrete.

Generalus Motors Returns to Battle

First into the industrial arena marches Generalus Motoricus, carrying approximately $6 billion in American manufacturing investment.

Its Orion Township operations are expanding, more production is being brought home, and Flint is adding an overtime shift because apparently America’s appetite for pickup trucks remains one of the few truly renewable national resources.

Then comes Fordius Motor Maximus, placing another $3 billion upon the altar of domestic production at its BlueOval Battery Park in Marshall.

The project is expected to create 1,700 jobs.

Meanwhile, Ford has added a third shift at the Dearborn Truck Plant as the mighty F-Series continues its ancient campaign to ensure that every driveway in the Republic can eventually accommodate something requiring its own postal code.

At the imperial court, rumors remain unconfirmed that the F-150 may soon replace the eagle as the official symbol of American power.

Stellantus, Dieselus, and the Great Shift Multiplication

Stellantus Multibrandus is also opening the treasury.

The company is investing $388 million in a new megahub in Van Buren Township, $140 million in Detroit, and another $100 million to expand production in Warren.

Not to be outdone, Detroitus Dieselus is recalling laid-off workers and adding a third shift.

Third shifts are becoming so common in Trumpius-era Michigania that historians may eventually divide the period into three great epochs:

First Shift.

Second Shift.

And Tremendous Shift.

Vehicle sales have also supplied the palace scribes with excellent parchment.

The year 2025 reportedly delivered the strongest new-vehicle sales since 2019. Ford achieved its best annual U.S. sales performance in six years. General Motors posted strong volume and major SUV gains, while Jeep sales finally rose again after years of wandering through the automotive wilderness.

The imperial diagnosis is therefore official:

The factories have awakened.

The Great Michigan Billion-Dollar Rainstorm

But cars alone are no longer enough for the ambitions of Trumpius.

OpenAIus, Oraculum Corporationis, and Relatedus Digitalis are building a hyperscale data-center campus in Saline Township with more than $7 billion in planned investment.

Thousands of construction jobs and hundreds of permanent positions are expected.

The facility will reportedly contain enough computing power to help artificial intelligence answer humanity’s most difficult question:

“Why does every modern data center need to be approximately the size of a small kingdom?”

Then comes Prattus Industrius, pledging $5 billion toward the reindustrialization of America.

Corningius Glassicus is investing $1.5 billion in Saginaw County.

Chobanius Maximus Yogurticus is placing $567 million into expansion at its La Colombe operation in Norton Shores, creating jobs while dramatically increasing purchases of Michigan milk.

Thus the new imperial economy shall be built upon three pillars:

Steel.

Silicon.

And yogurt.

Additional tribute arrives from GE Aerospatius, Saginawus Controlus, Adrianus Steelus, and Rheinmetallus Americanus, each investing millions in aerospace, manufacturing, engineering, and industrial capacity.

Soon there may not be enough ceremonial scissors in Michigan for all the ribbon cuttings.

Taxes? The Legions Prefer Less

Naturally, no decree of Trumpius would be complete without the ceremonial destruction of several taxes.

Approximately 1.7 million Michigan seniors are said to benefit from a new senior deduction.

Overtime workers may keep more of their earnings.

Workers receiving tips may keep more of theirs.

And families purchasing vehicles assembled in America may deduct qualifying auto-loan interest.

It is taxation transformed into industrial policy:

Buy the American chariot, receive imperial favor.

Michigan taxpayers also reportedly received average refunds of $3,508.

Rural health programs secured around $173 million in first-year funding.

Everything appears geographically disciplined.

Until suddenly—

Texas arrives.

In the middle of the official Michigan victory scroll, the palace announces that the Working Families Tax Cuts protected 170,000 Texas jobs, $30 billion in state GDP, and $15 billion in worker wages.

Texas.

Inside a Michigan proclamation.

No explanation.

No warning.

Just Texas entering the document like a cowboy who walked into the wrong Senate hearing.

The imperial motto practically writes itself:

“Veni. Vidi. Wrong Province.”

Perhaps under Trumpius, economic success has become so powerful that it crosses state lines before the proofreader can stop it.

Detroitus Becomes Safer

The imperial scribes also bring encouraging news from the public-safety front.

So far in 2026, violent offenses are reported lower than during the same period the year before.

Homicide: down 19 percent.

Rape: down 18 percent.

Robbery: down 17 percent.

Violent crime and motor-vehicle theft also declined in 2025 compared with the previous year.

Detroit recorded fewer than 200 homicides in 2025, reportedly the city’s lowest total since 1964.

And so, from the marble balcony of the Golden Palace, the verdict may now be proclaimed:

Michigania is making things again.

Trucks.

Engines.

Batteries.

Aircraft components.

Data centers.

Yogurt.

Jobs.

And, occasionally, statistics from Texas.

As Vancius Rusticus marches through the factories beneath the sacred glow of fluorescent industrial lighting, Imperator Trumpius can survey his northern province and deliver the only conclusion grand enough for the moment:

“Michigan is making things again. Huge things. Beautiful things. Probably the greatest things ever manufactured during a third shift.”
