In the magnificent Imperium Americanum, there are two kinds of disasters: those that politely announce themselves several days in advance — and those reckless enough to arrive without first requesting an audience with Imperator Trumpius Maximus Caesar.

For this reason, His Golden Excellency has proclaimed the sacred observance of National Preparedness Month, reminding the citizens of Americanum of one eternal imperial truth:

A crisis is considerably less impressive when you already have batteries.

From the ancient days of Washingtonius Primus to the glorious age of Trumpius, Americans have been strong, determined, resourceful people. But strength, according to the Imperial Palace, must be prepared before disaster strikes.

You cannot begin searching for your flashlight after the tornado has relocated your garage to another county.

Therefore, every loyal citizen should prepare the family, the house, the business, the automobile, the dog, and — where constitutionally appropriate — the backyard grill.

The Sacred Emergency Kit

The first commandment of preparedness according to Trumpius Maximus is simple:

Know thy disaster.

Citizens living near the coast should understand hurricanes. Those near rivers should understand floods. Those in California should understand earthquakes and wildfires.

And those living in Washingtonia should simply be prepared for anything.

Every household should maintain an emergency kit containing water, food, medicine, flashlights, batteries, essential documents, and other supplies necessary to survive temporary interruptions of civilization.

Insurance is also highly recommended.

Because while courage may rebuild a house, insurance tends to be more useful when purchasing the lumber.

Evacuation routes should be known in advance, alerts should be monitored, and trusted local information should be followed carefully.

The philosophy is beautifully simple:

Prepare today, panic considerably less tomorrow.

The Seven Sacred Nerves of Americanum

But Trumpius Caesar does not merely prepare households.

Caesar prepares civilizations.

The mighty systems powering American life — energy, communications, transportation, finance, water, food, and healthcare — form what the Imperial Chroniclers have now designated the:

Septem Nervi Americae.

The Seven Sacred Nerves of America.

If one stops functioning, people become irritated.

If two stop functioning, governors hold press conferences.

If four stop functioning, cable television unveils dramatic music and a giant red graphic reading “BREAKING.”

Therefore, the Administratio Trumpiana seeks to strengthen these systems, secure supply chains, reduce dangerous foreign dependencies, and ensure essential services continue operating even while Mother Nature attempts hostile negotiations.

Electricity must flow.

Water must run.

Communications must remain available.

Food must move.

Hospitals must operate.

And preferably, the Wi-Fi should survive too, because civilization has standards.

The Great Resilience Decree

On June 23, 2026, Trumpius Caesar issued the mighty Strategia Nationalis Resilientiae, establishing a new philosophy for emergency management across the realm.

Its imperial wisdom can be summarized rather efficiently:

Not every fallen tree requires Washingtonia.

States, counties, cities, and communities must develop the financial resources, personnel, equipment, plans, and mutual-aid agreements necessary to handle emergencies they routinely face.

In traditional political language, this is called federalism.

In Trumpius language:

“Govern thy province before summoning Caesar.”

Local governments should respond rapidly. Neighboring jurisdictions should assist one another. Critical resources should move faster. Communities should rebuild stronger.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government can preserve its enormous imperial machinery for disasters so catastrophic that somebody actually needs enormous imperial machinery.

This leaves Washingtonia prepared to confront the greatest regional and national threats instead of dispatching the full might of the Republic because a county generator refuses to start.

Efficient.

Federalist.

Majestic.

Very Trumpius.

Even the Barbarians Shall Be Disappointed

Preparedness, however, is not merely protection against hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, fires, or other tantrums of nature.

It is also national strength.

A functioning America is considerably harder to threaten.

Foreign adversaries hoping to exploit chaos will discover an irritating problem when power grids remain operational, communications continue working, supply chains keep moving, and communities recover quickly:

Americanum refuses to collapse on schedule.

The barbarians may arrive expecting disorder only to discover backup generators humming, emergency operations centers functioning, and somebody from the county government already distributing bottled water.

Terrible news for barbarians.

Excellent news for Caesar.

The Legions Who Run Toward Disaster

Trumpius Maximus also honors the firefighters, police officers, emergency medical personnel, emergency managers, rescue workers, and volunteers who protect the Empire when disaster strikes.

They are the mighty:

Legiones Primae Responsionis.

The First Responder Legions.

When alarms sound, they do not hesitate.

When flames rise, they advance.

When floodwaters climb, they deploy.

When storms tear roofs from buildings and transform patio furniture into unauthorized aviation equipment, these men and women answer the call.

They do not wait for perfect circumstances.

They act.

And therein lies the ultimate doctrine of Trumpius Caesar:

Readiness creates strength.

Responsibility creates resilience.

Preparation creates confidence.

And confidence creates an America that refuses to bow before crisis.

America Primus. Semper Paratus.

America First. Always Ready.

For in the glorious Imperium Americanum, fortune favors the prepared.

And Caesar favors citizens who remembered the batteries.
