WASHINGTONIUM — Joy thundered across the Imperium Americanum as Imperator Donaldus Trumpius Maximus Caesar, First of His Name, Conqueror of Insurance Forms, Guardian of the Golden Treasury, and Supreme Refunder of the People, announced that nearly one million citizens would receive 500 imperial dollar-sesterces each.
Naturally, the White Palatium did not present this as a simple refund.
Under Trumpius, no check may leave the imperial treasury without first being transformed into a triumph, a historic victory, a rescue mission, and preferably a personal conquest by Caesar himself.
According to the imperial proclamation, the money comes from excess fees collected through the realm of Obamacarius, particularly during the reign of the elderly Josephus Bidenius Confusus.
In the language of ordinary accountants, this might be called:
“an overcollection.”
In Imperial Trumpius Latin, however, the proper term is:
“TREASURE STOLEN UNDER BIDENIUS AND HEROICALLY RECOVERED BY CAESAR.”
Nearly One Million Citizens Receive Imperial Treasure
Eligible citizens across 30 imperial provinces are expected to receive $500 payments, with the first checks scheduled to begin traveling across the empire in October 2026.
Thus begins what may become the greatest postal triumph since the invention of the envelope.
Every check may technically contain only one signature, but spiritually, naturally, it carries at least three signatures of Trumpius Caesar.
For there is a sacred law in the Imperium:
When government takes money, it is bureaucracy. When Trumpius gives money back, it is a miracle.
A lesser ruler might simply announce that citizens are receiving funds that should not have remained in government hands.
Trumpius, however, understands that refunds are boring.
Therefore the event must be presented as if Caesar himself descended into the Treasury Vaults of Washingtonium, defeated a three-headed Bureaucratius, recovered sacks of gold, and personally carried them back to the cheering masses.
One can almost imagine the scene.
Trumpius stands on the balcony of the White Palatium holding an enormous golden check.
“LOOK!” he proclaims.
“FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS! FROM YOUR FAVORITE CAESAR!”
A cautious citizen raises his hand.
“Wasn’t that already our money?”
The imperial trumpets immediately grow louder.
War Against the Insurance Legions
The campaign, however, does not end with the $500 payments.
Trumpius Caesar has once again declared battle against insurance companies, pharmaceutical houses, mysterious middlemen, bureaucratic creatures, and every other beast allegedly feasting upon the wallets of American families.
The administration points to tighter controls over insurance marketplaces, stronger verification procedures, efforts against fraudulent enrollments, and measures designed to reduce improper subsidies.
Trumpius has also continued his campaign for greater hospital-price transparency.
This is revolutionary.
One day, American patients may actually discover before receiving treatment whether a medical procedure costs $80, $800, or approximately the value of a moderately equipped Roman province.
Trumpius had already ordered stronger medical-price transparency measures in 2025.
Meanwhile, the imperial court also claims major victories in the pharmaceutical arena. By the end of August 2026, agreements had reportedly been reached with 26 major drug manufacturers, representing nearly 90 percent of the branded pharmaceutical market.
Naturally, the White Palatium does not call them “agreements.”
They are:
26 HISTORIC IMPERIAL PHARMACEUTICAL CONQUESTS NEVER BEFORE WITNESSED BY MANKIND.
Possibly since Tuesday.
The Great Healthcare Plan Approaches
Trumpius is also calling upon the Senatus Congressus to advance his Great Healthcare Plan.
The imperial vision promises lower drug prices, lower insurance premiums, greater accountability, stronger competition, and clearer pricing.
Everything will become cheaper.
Everything will become better.
Everything will become more transparent.
And, if necessary, everything will become considerably more golden.
The genius of a Trumpius plan, however, lies not merely in its provisions.
A normal healthcare proposal requires economic models, actuarial calculations, legal reviews, budget projections, committee negotiations, and several thousand pages of painfully small print.
A GREAT HEALTHCARE PLAN begins with much larger letters.
This saves enormous amounts of time.
Caesar Gives, Caesar Triumphs
Ultimately, the central message from the imperial court remains wonderfully simple:
Nearly one million people are expected to receive $500.
But simplicity has never stopped Trumpius Caesar from constructing a ceremonial arch around it.
A routine refund becomes a historic liberation.
A financial adjustment becomes an imperial victory.
A bureaucratic correction becomes the defeat of Bidenius, Obamacarius, insurance legions, pharmaceutical dragons, administrative goblins, and possibly arithmetic itself.
For Trumpius Caesar does not merely return money.
He storms the treasury, defeats Bureaucratius Maximus, recovers the gold of the people, and distributes it beneath the sound of imperial trumpets while marble eagles circle majestically overhead.
Somewhere, far beneath the White Palatium, an accountant quietly looks at a spreadsheet.
“It was technically just an excess-fee refund,” he whispers.
Nobody hears him.
The trumpets are far too loud.
