Trumpius Caesar Launches the Great American Beef Offensive

When steaks get expensive, slaughterhouses grow scarce, and bureaucracy becomes thicker than a Washington appropriations bill, only one man can restore order to the sacred cattle plains: Imperator Trumpius Caesar Maximus, armed with executive power, economic thunderbolts, and what historians strongly suspect is a golden grill fork.

At the glorious Palatium Album of Washingtonia, Imperator Donaldus Trumpius Caesar Maximus, First of His Name, Guardian of the Ribeye, Protector of the Rancher, and Supreme Commander of the Cheeseburger Legions, has once again turned his imperial attention to one of the greatest strategic assets of the American Empire:

Beef.

Not diplomacy.

Not philosophy.

Not even marble columns.

Beef.

The imperial court has declared that America's cattle industry must be rescued from excessive concentration, unnecessary regulation, insufficient processing capacity, and — naturally — the lingering shadows of the previous reign of Josephus Bidenius Somnolentus.

Thus begins the Magna Reformatio Bovina.

The Great Beef Reform.

And somewhere in Texas, a bald eagle just put on a cowboy hat.

Agrarius Maximus Enters the Arena

Under the new imperial order, the Secretary of Agriculture — now properly elevated to the title Agrarius Maximus Pecuarius — shall strengthen enforcement against unfair market practices under the ancient commercial scripture known among bureaucratic tribes as the Packers and Stockyards Act.

Trumpius translation:

If giant meat companies are squeezing ranchers, the Empire wants names.

And spreadsheets.

Very large spreadsheets.

The order also demands modernization of meat inspection rules, with a particular focus on regulations that increase costs without meaningfully improving food safety.

This is revolutionary thinking in Washingtonia.

For decades, bureaucratic doctrine apparently held that the safest steak was a steak accompanied by seventeen forms, four signatures, two inspectors, and a compliance binder heavy enough to stun the cow retroactively.

Trumpius Caesar disagrees.

The imperial philosophy is simpler:

Inspect the meat. Protect the people. Stop inspecting the paperwork about the inspection of the inspection.

One Office to Rule Them All

The Department of Agriculture will also establish a centralized One Stop Shop to assist small and very small processors.

Naturally, within the Empire, this institution shall henceforth be known as:

Officium Unum Carnis Americanae.

Its mission is to help processors navigate grants, loans, inspection programs, training opportunities, and regulatory requirements.

In other words, an American butcher should be able to expand his business without first completing a bureaucratic pilgrimage through twelve websites, three agencies, and a government portal last updated during the reign of Internet Explorer.

The administration also intends to improve opportunities for state-inspected processors to sell products across state lines.

Because nothing says economic freedom quite like a perfectly legal Nebraska steak reaching the Missouri border and discovering it suddenly requires diplomatic clearance.

Under Trumpius:

The steak shall travel.

Money for the Meat Legions

Another central piece of the imperial campaign is a new lending initiative known as Strengthening Processing for U.S. Ranchers.

Trumpius scholars have already translated this into proper imperial terminology:

Programma Pecuniae Rancherii Invicti.

The goal is to help small and regional processors stay in business, expand capacity, and process more kinds of livestock.

The political logic is straightforward.

More processors mean more competition.

More competition means more choices for ranchers.

More choices mean less dependence on a handful of giant meatpacking houses powerful enough to make Roman merchant guilds look like neighborhood lemonade stands.

According to the administration's figures, the four largest beef processors controlled roughly 36 percent of steer and heifer purchases more than four decades ago.

Today, they control around 85 percent.

To Trumpius Caesar, this is roughly equivalent to discovering that four senators own 85 percent of all desserts in the imperial dining hall.

Unacceptable.

Deeply unfair.

And possibly grounds for immediate deployment of the Department of Agriculture.

Enter Bidenius, Destroyer of Cattle Prosperity

No imperial Trumpius decree would be complete without opening the Great Book of Previous Administration Catastrophes.

The fact sheet blames historically low cattle inventories partly on policies pursued under the previous administration, particularly climate and agricultural policies portrayed as hostile to livestock production.

Thus enters the ancient villain:

Josephus Bidenius Somnolentus, Emperor of Regulations, Duke of Methane, and Alleged Disturber of Cattle.

According to the imperial narrative, while Trumpius celebrates ranchers, reduces barriers, and invokes the sacred spirit of the American grill, Bidenius apparently spent his reign surrounding cows with climate paperwork and whispering regulatory threats into their ears.

The herd declined.

Processing capacity tightened.

Prices rose.

And somewhere on the plains, a lonely cowboy stared into the sunset and asked:

“Why hath Washington forsaken my brisket?”

Productum Americae Maximae

The Trumpius court also proudly recalls previous accomplishments in the Beef Renaissance.

Beginning in January 2026, meat, poultry, and egg products labeled “Product of USA” must come from animals born, raised, slaughtered, and processed in the United States.

In imperial language:

Productum Americae Maximae.

American cattle.

American processing.

American label.

American steak.

Potentially accompanied by an eagle flying overhead while a military band performs the national anthem.

The administration has also supported small processors with funding programs and capacity-building initiatives designed to strengthen regional food infrastructure.

Because for Trumpius Caesar, national greatness apparently requires not only aircraft carriers and semiconductor factories, but also a robust network of people capable of turning cattle into porterhouse.

Beef Becomes a Matter of Imperial Security

America is one of the world's great beef-consuming civilizations.

The country consumes more beef in total than any other nation, while ranking near the very top globally in per-capita consumption.

Therefore, the imperial conclusion is unavoidable:

Beef is not merely dinner.

It is infrastructure.

It is economics.

It is agriculture.

It is cultural identity.

And, judging by the tone of the Palatium Album, it may soon qualify as a strategic mineral.

The new Trumpius doctrine therefore declares:

More ranchers.

More processing capacity.

More competition.

Less bureaucracy.

And above all:

No American steak shall ever again approach a state border and hear the terrible words: “Your paperwork is incomplete.”

Trumpius Caesar has spoken.

The grills are lit.

The ranchers saddle their horses.

The Beef Legions march.

And from somewhere across the Great Plains comes the ancient imperial cry:

“Ave Trumpius. Those who are about to grill salute you.”
