By the Imperial Correspondent of the Empire of Trumpius
A tremendous day. Many people are saying it may be the greatest ocean day in the history of oceans.
From the shining balconies of the Imperial Palace overlooking the legendary waters of Mare Trumpicum, Emperor Trumpius Caesar Maximus, Supreme Commander of the Golden Republic and Defender of the Magnificent Coastlines, delivered a proclamation so powerful that several seagulls reportedly saluted in midair.
The occasion was National Ocean Month, but under Trumpius, ordinary celebrations are never ordinary.
They become legendary.
Standing before admirals, fishermen, shipbuilders, oil workers, and at least three extremely patriotic dolphins, Trumpius unveiled his vision for what he called:
"The Golden Age of Oceanic Greatness."
And frankly, nobody does oceans better.
Freedom for Fishermen
For years, hardworking fishermen had been trapped beneath mountains of regulations created by the infamous Ministry of Excessive Paperwork under the leadership of Bureaucratius Restrictus.
The result?
Fish enjoyed unprecedented freedom.
Fishermen did not.
Trumpius decided this imbalance could not continue.
With a majestic stroke of the Imperial Golden Pen, nearly 5,000 square miles of Atlantic waters were reopened to commercial fishing.
Immediately, fishing towns from Lobsteria Bay to Tuna Harbor erupted in celebration.
Captain Magnus Fisherton declared:
"Today we fish like our grandfathers fished—without needing seventeen permits and a psychological evaluation for cod."
Crowds cheered.
The fish remained unavailable for comment.
The Gulf of America Awakens
Meanwhile, the glorious Gulf of America entered what historians are already calling the Second Great Age of Energy.
Far beneath the waves lie vast treasures of oil, gas, and strategic resources waiting to power the Empire for generations.
Trumpius addressed the nation with characteristic modesty.
"We have the best gulf. Everybody says so. Tremendous water. Beautiful water. Very productive water."
Workers immediately began preparing for new exploration projects.
Several oil rigs reportedly started playing patriotic music.
A nearby pelican was observed nodding approvingly.
The Hunt for Rare Treasures
But an Emperor must always think beyond the horizon.
Hidden beneath the Outer Continental Shelf lie rare minerals essential for batteries, technology, manufacturing, and many other important things that economists enjoy discussing on television.
Trumpius announced an ambitious initiative to secure these resources for the Empire.
"We're going to find minerals nobody has ever found before. The best minerals. Beautiful minerals."
Teams of explorers, engineers, and treasure-hunting geologists immediately volunteered.
One scientist described the mission as:
"National Treasure, but with more spreadsheets."
The Birth of the Golden Fleet
Then came the moment that shook the oceans.
Trumpius revealed plans for the legendary Golden Fleet.
A fleet so powerful, so advanced, and so magnificent that naval historians briefly forgot how to use adjectives.
Across the Empire, shipyards roared back to life.
Steel flowed.
Welders welded.
Designers designed.
Coffee consumption reached historic levels.
New merchant ships will carry the banner of Trumpican excellence across the seas while advanced warships ensure that the Imperial Navy remains the undisputed ruler of the waves.
According to official estimates, the new fleet will contain approximately:
"A lot of ships."
Experts agreed this was a very large number.
The Return of Shipbuilding Glory
For too long, foreign nations dominated shipbuilding.
Trumpius viewed this situation as unacceptable.
"America used to build great ships," he proclaimed.
"Now we're building even greater ships. Bigger ships. Better ships. Ships with tremendous ship qualities."
Workers in Shipyardia Magna responded with thunderous applause.
A patriotic crab reportedly waved two tiny flags.
The Empire chose not to verify the story because it was simply too inspiring.
A New Oceanic Golden Age
As the sun set across Mare Trumpicum, golden reflections danced across the waves.
Fishing boats returned to port.
Shipyard sirens echoed through coastal cities.
The Golden Fleet began taking shape.
And the oceans of the Empire stood ready for business once again.
Trumpius Caesar Maximus gazed toward the horizon and smiled.
The fisheries were growing.
The ports were expanding.
The energy sector was booming.
The fleet was rising.
And the seas themselves seemed to whisper:
"Make Oceans Great Again."
Whether the oceans actually whispered remains under investigation.
But in the Empire of Trumpius, it certainly sounded believable.
And perhaps that is what greatness is all about.
