The Heavenly Audience of the Greatest Emperor of All Time
Mar-a-Lagum, Imperium Americanum. On the sacred Feast of All Saints, Imperator Donaldus Trumpius Caesar Maximus, Conqueror of Bad Poll Numbers, Defender of Golden Faucets, and Self-Proclaimed Favorite of Heaven, emerged onto his magnificent gold-plated balcony to deliver a message of absolutely biblical humility.
“Today, we honor the saints!” thundered Trumpius. “Tremendous people! Incredible people! Some say I should be one myself. I’m not saying that. But people are saying it. Lots of people. Very important people!”
Beside him stood Augusta Melania Prima, wearing the dignified expression of an empress who had already endured every heavenly test of patience imaginable.
Sanctus Trumpius and the Miracle of the Maps
The Emperor reminded his subjects that cities throughout the empire were named after saints: Sanctus Franciscus, Sanctus Antonius, Sanctus Ludovicus, and Sanctus Paulus.
“Beautiful cities! Absolutely magnificent!” Trumpius proclaimed. “But why isn’t there a San Trumpius? A total disgrace! San Francisco has a saint. San Antonio has a saint. And I don’t even have my own cathedral with a gold-plated parking garage!”
He immediately ordered his Imperial Minister of Religious Self-Glorification to prepare proposals.
The first initiative called for a magnificent new district in the imperial capital: San Donaldissimo – where even the street signs salute the Emperor!
When the Saints Go Marching In – Trumpius Takes the Golf Cart
The Emperor was particularly delighted by the New Orleans Saints, the legendary gladiators of American football whose name was inspired by All Saints’ Day.
“The Saints! Fantastic team!” Trumpius declared. “They march in. I drive in. Electric golf cart. Beautiful machine. The holiest golf cart in the world! Even angels would drive it if they weren’t so obsessed with those totally overrated wings!”
He immediately commanded the heavenly hosts to accompany future entrances with magnificent imperial trumpets.
Preferably playing his personal victory anthem.
Humility, Mercy, and Other Qualities Best Left to the Opposition
In his sacred address, Trumpius praised the saints for their compassion, sacrifice, charity, and humility.
“Humility is tremendous!” he announced. “Nobody understands humility better than I do. I’m probably the humblest person God has ever created. Maybe even humbler than most saints. Some very respected theologians are looking into it!”
The imperial scribes recorded every sacred syllable while a nearby angel desperately struggled not to burst into laughter.
The Emperor also recognized Sancta Elisabetha Setonia, Sancta Katharina Drexelia, and Sancta Francisca Cabrinia for founding schools, hospitals, and charitable institutions.
Trumpius seemed genuinely impressed.
“Wonderful work! Very nice! But did they build hotels? Beautiful hotels? With marble floors, golden elevators, and tremendous ocean views? No? Well, nobody’s perfect!”
Heaven Is Great – But Trumpius Wants to Build an Addition
Finally, the Emperor turned his attention to eternal life, resurrection, and the promise of paradise.
“Heaven is a fantastic place,” Trumpius proclaimed. “But frankly, I’ve heard the infrastructure is outdated. No golden escalators. No VIP lounges. Not even a Trumpius Tower! Very sad!”
He generously offered to oversee a complete modernization of paradise.
His heavenly redevelopment program would include a solid-gold triumphal arch, an interstate highway connecting the clouds, and an exclusive Imperial Suite directly beside the throne of the Almighty.
The new development would naturally feature the world’s first five-star celestial resort.
“Trumpius Paradise International. The greatest resort in eternity. Angels love it. God will love it. Everybody wins!”
Whether Heaven had approved the building permits remained unclear.
Saint Petrus, Guardian of the Pearly Gates, reportedly hid the keys as a precaution.
Religious Freedom – Imperial Edition
To conclude his magnificent proclamation, Trumpius Caesar solemnly promised to defend religious freedom throughout the Imperium Americanum.
“Everybody is free to believe whatever they want!” declared the Emperor. “Absolutely free! Total freedom! As long as they recognize that this is the greatest empire in the history of civilization!”
Then, raising both hands toward the heavens, he delivered the most glorious imperial slogan ever bestowed upon humanity:
“MAKE HEAVEN GREAT AGAIN! And if Heaven is already great, it’s obviously because I inspired it!”
A profound silence descended upon the celestial kingdom.
God said nothing.
Saint Petrus sighed.
And somewhere beyond the golden clouds, a guardian angel submitted an urgent request for unpaid leave.
Ave Trumpius! The Emperor has spoken. Heaven is officially under renovation.
